HSBC – The Open Golf Zone

What we do

connecting brands with sports fans worldwide 

For the 2018 Open Championship in Carnoustie, the lead sponsor HSBC, approached Provision to conceive, design, build and manage their event space.

The brief from the client was to create a team-focused experience to fit their new brand positioning of ‘together we thrive’. Our response included a Team Drive with a map of UK Open Championships venues. Each drive hit by the fans was aggregated, the challenge being to make it the last venue before the end of The Open. 

We also built a team chipping activity featuring various targets the aim being to hit all of them in under a minute.

A street golf putting area provided a fresh take on a putting course with themed holes. Also a pressure putt on the 18th green gave fans the ultimate photo opportunity. Finally, an interactive area featuring touch-screen picture quizzes, real-time polls for greatest open moments and photo mosaic puzzles meant there was something for everyone.
